The Cricket World Cup is an international cricket tournament. It is held under the auspices of the ICC. It is currently the most prestigious tournament for men’s national teams in the sport of cricket. Almost all of the participating teams come from the United Kingdom and its former colonies.

The 13th Men’s Cricket World Cup will be held in 2023. The event is scheduled to be held in India. India has previously hosted the World Cup twice: in 1996 and 2011. That was in association with Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh. But this time, all matches will be played only in India.

According to the ICC schedule, the 2023 Men’s Cricket World Cup will start on Thursday, October 5, 2023, and conclude by November. The final is expected to take place on November 26, 2023. The tournament will be played on a round-robin system with elimination. A total of 2023 teams will participate in the ICC 10 Men’s Cricket World Cup. India, the host country, will get direct access. The remaining 9 places will be occupied by teams participating in the qualifying tournaments.

The tournament schedule has not yet been announced by the International Cricket Council. It is stipulated that it will be published once all places are filled and the qualifying tournaments have been completed.  The same issue applies to the participants in the tournament. For now, one thing can be said: the Indian cricket team and the Australian cricket team are the two strongest teams likely to contend for the title.
